Ayurveda helped me to look into MY KITCHEN CABINET to IGNITE the HEALER in ME.
Spices make our food delicious. They are just not flavor enhancers. Infact, they are OUR kitchen pharmacy!
Let's dive into the topic!
Spice of the Day: Fenugreek Seeds

Fenugreek is bitter in taste and is used a lot in cooking.
Benefits:
•Promotes healthy bowel movements
•Eases back discomfort
•Good for diabetes
•Hair fall
•Dandruff
•Hair growth
You can grow tender fenugreek leaves at home with or without soil! This can be a family activity; kids will love to sprinkle the seeds and water the little plants!
Share an image of the fenugreek leaves that you have harvested in the comments section!

With Soil:
Take two tsps of fenugreek seeds and soak them in water for 15 minutes
Drain the water and sprinkle the seeds (with a little space between them) in a shallow pot filled with soil
Cover with a little soil and water enough to keep the soil moist, but not soaked
Water when needed and keep the pot in a partially sunny location
Harvest after 3-5 pairs of leaves grow (cut the base of the stem)
Without Soil:
Take two tsps of fenugreek seeds and soak them in water for 15 minutes
Drain the water
Clean a plastic fruit/vegetable grocery box
Place a moist paper towel at the bottom of the box
Sprinkle the seeds (there should be a little space between the seeds)
Cover with another moist paper towel
Spray the towel with water to keep the seeds moist
Remove the towel once leaves appear
Keep the box near a sunny window
Harvest after 3-5 pairs of leaves grow (cut the base of the stem)
