Normal menstrual cycle should be regular and last between twenty-seven to thirty five days long. The bleeding should be bright red and should wash easily out of fabrics without staining.

Every individual is different, hence, I am sharing general tips to relieve abdominal and back pain:

  1. Eat a balanced diet like warm, mushy foods cooked in ghee and spices. Avoid pungent, spicy and salty foods.

  2. Massage a few drops of warm sesame oil on your abdomen if you experience abdominal pain or cramps

  3. Apply a warm pack on your abdomen

  4. Relax your body by doing Shavasana

  5. Do simple alternate nostril breathing

  6. Drink ginger and black pepper tea or cumin tea or Tulsi tea to relieve the abdominal pain

  7. Drink a cup of warm milk with turmeric every night

  8. Soak 1 tsp of methi seeds overnight in a glass of water, next day in the morning strain and drink the water.

  9. Avoid cold and raw foods

  10. Enjoy a casual walk in the nature

  11. Finally get some rest during menstrual cycle as the body requires rest

If you would like to consult, please email me and I will be happy to suggest a liefstyle to help you balance the menstrual cycle issues.
