Hi everyone! Summer is approaching, which means the growing season has started for many vegetables. In our garden this year, we are growing pumpkins. You'll be surprised to know that we did not buy the seeds, but took them from a semi-ripe pumpkin that we bought from the Farmers' Market! Below are updates and tips to grow your own pumpkin:

5/2021: Seeds were taken and planted in a small pot. We let them grow there for about two weeks.

5/2021: Next, we transplanted a seedling into a bigger pot. We used a 5-gallon bucket filled with potting soil and organic vegetable fertilizer. Tip: Remember to keep your pot in a sunny spot and make sure the soil is moist. My daughter usually waters every day or every other day as pots lose water quickly.

I will post updates in a new blog post which will be coming sometime in mid-June. Check my website for Update Two and let me know in the comments section about your pumpkin plant!
